Today the lady who looked at the trailer with her friend who will be living in it called me.  She said they definitely want it, and had talked to the park manager. The lease stipulations said the shed had to be moved, they had to fix the underpinning skirting and they had to clean up the yard.  Not too bad for a free house, so they agreed, and the guy had to fill out an application.  When they find out if he’s approved, she’ll call me back and let me know.  I HOPE he gets approved. Gosh!  Turns out, he’s a divorced dad paying a ton in child support and is staying with this woman who had contacted me. He’s living with her because he can’t afford rent on anything else, so without friends, he’d be homeless.  Sounds like the other guy living in the camper. Remind me if I ever divorce DH not to take him to the cleaners and leave him homeless.  Thanks.  That just sucks!  So, anyway, the swingset will stay I guess, in case his kids visit.  They didn’t mention it anyway.  I’m SO excited about this now!  Once it is out of our hands and we can no longer be beholden to the managers of that other trailer park, the better my sanity will be!!  I’m glad I decided to put it on Freecycle.

Today was a crapper financially though.  DH’s antibiotics plus his Plavix and Lipitor and Lisinopril all came to over $300 – that was the money I was going to pay the past due amount on the electric bill.  We STILL haven’t met his deductible.  I think he’s really close, but DAMN!  we’re living on next to nothing and everything is getting behind just to keep him alive.  I’m going to have to call them electric company or go down there in person and see if I can get them to defer it another month due to these circumstances. When I signed up for the high deductible insurance this year, it was with the intention of using the tax refund to pay all the medical bills and prescriptions that would make up the deductible very quickly, then we’d be fine the rest of the year. However, we decided on the spur of the moment to buy this house.  I AM SO GLAD we did, but OMG, these bills!  We had $2500 in medical bills we didn’t get paid off last year that we still owe, and now we’re up to nearly $2000 more NEW medical bills  ACK!!!!  And to think this time last year we were fresh out of bankruptcy and didn’t owe a dime to anone.  DAMN.  I think I’m gonna cry now.   I seriously need a bailout!!!  Heck at least we still have our jobs.   KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

I got an email from one of the people I sent emails to about the trailer.  This is the one who had emailed me even after I’d posted a “pending” email to Freecycle to get people to stop asking about it.  That’s how many people declined to take it… sheesh.  Well, she seems *really* excited about it, and says she doesn’t care how bad it is or needs cleaning.  So, since DH was sick today, I told her he could show it to her at 6pm tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

I sent 16 and 12 over to the place to clean up the rooms some more… it’s gotten to where I can’t bring myslf to go.  It is seriously such a huge psychological thing with me. I hate that it has a power over me, but I recognize that it does.  I’m so screwed up.  So, anyway, they went over and said someone had been in there again.  There was a pad of graph paper on the couch. So they took it, and got some of the stuff out of the house, then our old tom cat who won’t come with us to the new place ended up scratching 12.  He was probably upset they didn’t have any cat food.  He’s always been quite pushy. I hope whoever takes the new place likes cats, cause he goes with the house. Hah.  Anyway, so she got a big scratch and so they came back to get a bandaid and 12 stayed here.  16 went back over to the place, but called and said she was creeped out and didn’t like being there by herself even with the doors chained.  So she came back home.

I REALLY REALLY wish DH would just get the last of the stuff out of there and have it done with. I can NOT believe it’s taken this long.

Well, if all goes well, the woman will like the place, go apply to be pre approved to live there and take the place off our hands.  That’ll get him motivated to get the last stuff out of there.  It might just make me get off my arse and go clean it up too.  I just dread it SO much.

First people – mother with 2 grown kids that were paying too much in rent in neighboring town. – They didn’t want it.

Second people – mother who wrote in asking to see it with her husband, their son and his wife and daughter were living with her folks and it was too crowded and a new baby was on the way. – they didn’t want to pay the measly $140 lot rent and refused to pay what movers ask to move it to their land.

Third – mother had emailed about it for her son who’s newly divorced, gave everything to his wife and kids and lives in a camper and showers at his mother’s house – she never even replied to my email, been 36+ hours now.

So, I have emailed number 4 now….  Unbelievable.  It’s a woman who emailed the first time I put the trailer on Freecycle and then emailed me again after I posted it as “Pending” asking to please consider her request.  She just says she has a friend who needs it.  Well, I send her to the email around 5pm, so we’ll see if she replies tomorrow.  The next one after her is a church. Sigh.

In the continuing saga of trying to get rid of our old trailer that has been our home for the last 20 years and where I raised 4 kids and was the only home they knew until February….  the list has had another person crossed off of it, and I’m on to the next. This is unreal.

We finally were able to get in touch with the second set of people on the list after the first ones turned it down. They came out to see it yesterday and said they’d get back to us.  Well today the guy called and said they didn’t want it. It was going to cost too much to move and they didn’t want to pay $140/month lot rent for it…  Guess they don’t love their son and his family enough?  Ridiculous!

So, the next person who emailed about it is a lady whose son recently got divorced and he let his wife have everything so his kids would not have to lose anything.  He has to have visitation with his kids at his mom’s house, since he is now living in a camper and showering at her house.

I would imagine this type of guy wouldn’t mind living in our old place and fixing it up as he gets time and money. I mean hell, we lived there for 20 years, it’s not like it’s uninhabitable. You just need imagination.  I’m about ready to just give up on humanity and everything.  Hell, it might be worth it to keep the damn trailer, fix it up as we can and when it’s all remodeled sell it to the park for a ton. pfft. Not gonna happen.  Well, I’ll keep you posted.   I’m hoping is this guy doesn’t want it maybe at least the CHURCH will take it  damn….
